La Galera cigars are produced in Tamboril, a suburb of Santiago, Dominican Republic. The founder, Jose Arnaldo Blanco, is a cigar aficionado and has been growing tobacco for decades. His factory "Tabacalera Palma" produces exceptional cigars that have earned the love and appreciation of smokers around the world. La Galera is the place where the cigars are produced in the factory: this is where the magic happens.

This range of La Galera cigars called Anemoi is the name that the Greeks gave to their different wind gods. The series is available in 5 modules: four of these cigars are named after different Greek gods, while the fifth is simply called Anemoi.

• Boreas (North) - Winds from the north of the Dominican Republic bring water to the Cibao Valley in the fall and winter.

• Notos (South) - According to La Galera, this is the rarest of the winds and usually only occurs when a hurricane is headed toward the Dominican Republic.

• Eurus (East) - East winds remove excess moisture and disease from the area, promoting tobacco growth.

• Zephyrus (West) - West winds also bring rain to the tobacco growing regions of the Dominican Republic.
