THE DISTILLERY OF THE DOMAIN OF COURCELLES - A DISTILLERY OUT OF AGE

The Domaine de Courcelles distillery was founded in the early 1930s, closing in 1964. The owner, Mr Amédée Huygues Despointes, transferred production to the distillery in Sainte Marthe, continuing to use the stills for distillation before closing permanently in 1972. Having been long forgotten, the barrels were bought in 1998 and stored on the island of Marie-Galante. To prevent evaporation, the contents were transferred into casks.
