Whisky, one of the most popular spirits worldwide, is a fascinating and multifaceted alcoholic beverage. It is made from various grains, whether malted or unmalted, and these grains can vary depending on the regions of production.

Scotch, the quintessential Scottish drink, is obtained through the distillation of malted barley. It is the most widely spread type of whisky. To be labeled as "Scotch," a law states that the whisky must be distilled and aged in Scotland for a minimum of three years.

Irish Whiskey, as the name suggests, originates from Ireland. According to some sources, Ireland is even considered the birthplace of whisky itself.

Bourbon, produced in the United States, is made from a minimum of 51% corn. As for Rye, less known than its counterpart, it is produced in the United States and Canada using rye.
